Hot fun in the summer is the theme for the weekend and we’ve got you covered. Head outdoors to a local music festival to dance your cares away under the setting sun, or camp under the stars with the zoo animals. Whatever you choose, this weekend is going to be epic!

Out of This World
Join the SF Symphony on a journey to the far reaches of the universe as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! Experience a spectrum of cosmic wonders enhanced with stunning visuals on the big screen, from mesmerizing masterworks by Ravel, R. Make and Take Clay Workshop

Family Sundown Safari
Grab your tent, sleeping bag, your family and a few friends and get ready for an overnight adventure at Oakland Zoo. Doctor Dolittle is off to the circus with his crew of chatty animals, including the mischievous Pushmi-Pullyu. But will there be room for all of them under the Big Top? Come see how it all works out in this new telling of the classic children’s story about the wacky doctor who talks with the animals, as told with trapeze, tumbling and music at Children’s Fairyland. Celebrate good times! Menlo Summer Fest, “Hot Fun In The Summertime” is a vibrant celebration of the arts in Silicon Valley’s epicenter with two sun-splashed days of stellar live music, exceptional fine art and cool crafts, fabulous food and drink, artisan specialty food purveyors, health and wellness displays, an organic and green products showcase, home and garden exhibits, plus a host of captivating kids’ amusements in the Super Duper Funzone.
