Pour the wine and dust off the bunting — Eurovision is back. The 2022 Eurovision Song Contest is being hosted in Turin, Italy, with the final broadcast on BBC One on Saturday 14 May.
The theme this year is 'the sound of beauty', and the UK's entry is singer Sam Rice. Given that we've not exactly endeared ourselves to our European neighbours in recent months, we're not expecting great things.

Anyway, we're anticipating the judges' loyalties to be with Ukraine this year, if their entry is able to go ahead.
Looking for somewhere to watch the show? Here are some of the best Eurovision 2022 parties and screening events in London — for anyone who loves glitter, strobe lighting and plenty of cheese.
Eurovision Party at Nordic Bar, Fitzrovia

Drinks deals, singalongs and prizes all feature in Nordic Bar's Eurovision screening party, with the action in Turin shown on screens around the venue.
Advance tickets are available now, and include a bottle of beer or cocktail to get the party started. Other drinks deals run throughout the evening to keep you well refreshed and ready to join in with those singalongs.
Nordic Bar, 5pm-2am.
Eurovision Party London 2022 at Rio Cinema, Dalston

Dalston's indy cinema hosts Eurovision Party London 2022 — the go-to event for die-hard Eurovision fans, and London's biggest Eurovision party.
European themed drinks and Italian food — mmm, arancini — are on the menu from 6pm, and a karaoke competition kicks off at 7pm. Sign up in advance to live out your Eurovision dreams with a rendition of a song by a classic act — oh, and look sharp, as there are prizes for the most outrageous outfits.
The contest itself is broadcast on a 25ft screen, followed by DJ Dave Simmons playing the trashiest Eurovision hits for you to dance to until the early hours.
Eurovision Party London, 6pm-2am.
Eurovision Final at Phoenix Arts Club

The Eurovision final viewing party is the biggest event in the Phoenix Arts Club's annual calendar. It's not cheap (tickets start at £45) but your entry fee includes tapas-style dishes from the competing countries, plus a glass of bubbly to toast the winner. Scorecards help you keep track, and there's a Eurovision quiz, and cabaret with drag acts to keep you entertained, as well as the screening of the final itself.
Eurovision at Phoenix Arts Club, 6.30pm-3am.
Eurodisco at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club

On Eurovision night itself, Bethnal Green Working Men's Club's legendary Eurodisco returns. Doors open at 7pm (with a free Buck's Fizz — see what they did there? — for the first 100 people) to give you a chance to bag the best seats for the 8pm show, beamed on two huge screens. Commentary is provided by two drag hosts, with games and dancing drowning out the boring bits — although there is a quiet zone for any super-serious Eurovision fans who need to hear every single word. And of course, there's an after party, with a DJ playing cheesy pop and dance floor fillers.
Eurodisco, from 7pm.
Eurovision viewing party at Caffeina Latina
Coffee shop Caffeina Latina — located close to Fenchurch Street — is having a Eurovision viewing party, accompanied by live drag entertainment. Your ticket includes a beer or cocktail, with light snacks also available.
Caffeina Latina, 7pm-11pm.
