This Grilled Cilantro Lime Asparagus is a beautifully simple and healthy side dish that only takes minutes to make!
Grilling is one of my favorite ways to make sure everyone in my family is eating their veggies.
If you’ve never tried grilling asparagus, you’re missing out. It’s very easy and has wonderful flavor. But if you are wanting to kick your asparagus up a notch this season, you have to try this cilantro lime version.
It’s the best side dish! Pairs perfectly with fish, chicken, steak, or tossed in pasta. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
What ingredients do I need?
- 1 bunch of fresh asparagus
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 lime
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- salt & pepper to taste
These are the simple steps for making my Grilled Cilantro Lime Asparagus:
Step 1: Trim the asparagus by picking up a piece and bending it near the cut end. This should give you a good indicator of where the woody ends stop and the tender asparagus starts.
Step 2: Toss the asparagus with olive oil, garlic salt, and a dash of salt & pepper.
Step 3: Place the seasoned asparagus on a hot grill. It only takes about 7-10 minutes to make it tender and delicious! If you are afraid your asparagus may fall through the grates, you can always use a grilling basket.
Step 4: Once the asparagus is charred and tender, remove from heat and top with the juice of 1 lime and fresh cilantro.
Grilled asparagus is the perfect accompaniment to any meal. It’s a simple yet tasty recipe that your family and guests will love!
