Savory Steamed Asparagus with Lemon Dressing
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of asparagus stalks
- half a quarter cup of lemon juice
- 3 tbsps of chopped basil
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1/2 tsp of ground pepper
- 3 tbsps of olive oil
Step 1
Bend or snap the dry ends off of the asparagus.
Step 2
Fill a steamer pan set with 1 inch water and bring to a boil.

Place the asparagus stalks in the steamer pan set with thick ends first. Steam for 5 to 10 minutes until asparagus stalks are tender.
For the Lemon dressing:

Whisk together the following ingredients:
- half a quarter cup of lemon juice
- 3 tbsps of chopped basil
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1/2 tsp of ground pepper
After a few whisk, you can now add 3 tbsps. of olive oil to the mixture.

Remove the stalks from the steaming pan set and arrange them in a serving platter. Pour a little bit of the lemon dressing in the middle of your asparagus stalks.
