  • Heat oven to 400F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Spray both sides of a wire, cooking rack with nonstick spray and place the rack over the baking sheet.
  • Trim the tough ends off the asparagus spears, cutting so the spears are the same length. If the asparagus has tough outer skin, peel the spears starting halfway down and to the end. (Most asparagus doesnt need to be peeled.)
  • Tightly wrap each asparagus spear with slice of bacon and place the spears on the prepared wire rack set over the baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Rotate the pan and flip the bacon-wrapped spears over.
  • Bake an additional 8-10 minutes or until the bacon has crisped. If needed, set the oven to broil and broil 1 minute. Watch closely.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack and cool to touch.
