Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
The HH finally finished repairing the walls, mudding and adding texture to the walls last night so that means it’s my turn now. Well, actually, he still needs to remove the blind and sand the window frame {but he has assured me that will be done today}.
I’m planning on breaking out the paint cans on Monday. Yee- Haw!
After that, then we can move onto installing the new window covering and light fixture.
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!
Well I did it!!! I finally hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker. We’re just waiting for the call from the appliance guy to let us know when it’s in.
I’ve now shifted to saving my rug hooking funds for a “research trip” to England to find the perfect scone {so I can duplicate it in my new oven}.
Fill the Canning Cupboard
The canning cupboard is filling up. I’m going to need to find a new home for my mixing bowls, platters and cookbooks asap!
This past week I canned more Costco like salsa and also a batch of tomato bruschetta.
We have plenty of canned tomatoes and tomato sauce to get us through the winter, so I think I’ll keep focusing on salsa and maybe also work on a few sauce recipes.
So far this year I have canned:
- Costco Like Salsa
- Tomato Bruchetta
- Raspberry Blueberry Jam
- Carrot Cake Jam
- Strawberry Lemon Jam
- Blueberry Lime Jam
- Strawberry Jam
- Cinnamon Rhubarb Jam
- Pickled Asparagus
- Ginger Pear Jam
- Spiced Christmas Jam
- Cranberry Sauce
- Split Pea and Ham Soup
- Beef Stew
- Zucchini Relish
- Heirloom Tomato Salsa
Not canned, but in jars:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
I’ve decided to wait until fall to list my beach finds. I know this is cutting my selling season a bit short, but with so many other things going on right now, I just don’t have the time to add another thing to my to-do list.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
These days I’m getting my daily allowance via tomatoes.
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
HA HA HA. So totally not happening right now.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}
It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.
Make a Quilt Top
This is the stack of white fabric I need to cut into 2 1/2″ squares. It’s collecting dust. But September won’t be as crazy, right? I’ll get it done. I’m just not sure when.
1 Craft / Blog Free Day {I’ve had 32 craft/blog free days this year so far.}
So many squash … In such a small space. I counted 5. How many do YOU see?
Be More Intentional With My Time
We met up with The Kiln Guy and The Chef for lunch and while there I spotted the cutest chicken onsie on the planet!! Isn’t it just the sweetest!?
Keep My Husband Busy
Keeping a husband busy… it’s not for the faint at heart. This past week he finished up his repair work in the kitchen AND bought new garage door openers. Yee-Haw. Things are really moving now.
